With five different Summerland beaches, people who visit us are spoiled for choice. Feel the sand between your toes and the soft, summer breeze at your back. Reconnect with nature and family. Okanagan Lake is a rural heartland, a BC playground, and a tranquil spot for reading or skipping stones across sunset waters at the end of the day.
Whether you stay in the heart of Summerland and explore our delightful Lakeshore Drive beaches, or head south to enjoy the two spectacular beaches of Trout Creek, you won’t be disappointed. With camping, historical landmarks, parks and trails, Summerland’s beaches offer a myriad of recreational opportunities.
Don’t forget to call in to the Summerland Visitors’ Centre for maps and information.
A band of protected cottonwood trees and associated wetland thickets provide food and shelter for northern oriole, warbling vireos and the threatened Lewis’ woodpecker. Short trails through the woodlands lead to a dog beach where Trout Creek spills into the lake.
